In addition to classroom training, practical hands-on/on-the-job training is also included to ensure competency in all training objectives. On the job training is fully supervised by competent persons and all parties involved are informed that the employee is under training. Only after the successful completion of the practical training the employee is considered properly qualified and is authorized to perform his/her duties under his/her own responsibility.
The Training Department is located on the 1st floor of building 12 at Athens International Airport. Three fully equipped classrooms with a total of 30 PCs are available. Two Aircraft mockups, situated at our premises, are extensively used, in order to facilitate practical training concerning Aircraft Loading, GSE positioning and Aircraft Pushback/Towing.
Ten full time instructors deliver the bulk of our training programs. All instructors are properly trained and qualified to carry out their tasks according to IATA and HCAA standards. Additionally, there are 130 fully qualified trainers/on-the-job trainers, stationed throughout our network, who facilitate classroom course delivery and practical training.
